Starting from Monday, 5 August 2024, work will begin on a section of the coastal pathway (Beach Road) to improve accessibility and to make it safer to use.
We’re renewing wastewater pipes in Mount Maunganui North, with work scheduled for October and November 2024, and March and April 2025.
We are reconstructing part of the road and the Hollister Lane roundabout to extend the life of the road and make it safer and easier to move around Ohauiti.
We are improving stormwater drainage through the intersection of Beaumaris Boulevard and Sterling Gate Drive with the addition of two box culverts.
With bike racks full and skateboard storage bursting at the seams, Mount Maunganui College Principal Alastair Sinton is under no illusion as to how important it is to provide safe travel options for his students along Maunganui Road.
