The reopening of Tauranga Library today at He Puna Manawa is great news for passionate readers, but also history lovers, online learners and those keen to try their luck at drawing, knitting, genealogy, robotics and other activities in an inclusive community space. 

The people of Tauranga will soon have the chance to have their say on one of the most significant projects many will see constructed in the city during their lifetime.

An exciting new chapter for Tauranga Library is on the horizon, with relocation plans underway that involve closing for a month before opening at a temporary location.

The transformation of the city centre continues, with Tauranga City Council’s Customer Service Centre now open to the community at He Puna Manawa, 21 Devonport Road.
