Cameron Road between Eleventh Avenue and Thirteenth Avenue will be one-way only for five nights from Sunday 27 August to resurface the southbound lanes (heading away from the city).
The work, between The Flooring Room and Tauranga Central Baptist Church, is part of the Building our future – Cameron Road, Te Papa project, and will take place from 10pm to 6am for five nights from Sunday 27 August to Friday 1 September.
Southbound traffic will be diverted along Eleventh Avenue, Devonport Road and Thirteenth Avenue. These works do not include the Thirteenth Avenue intersection, which will remain open.
Resurfacing work at the Thirteenth Avenue (east) intersection will follow (near Tauranga Central Baptist Church). The southbound lanes of Cameron Road (heading away from the city) between Eleventh Avenue and Thirteenth Avenue will be closed at nights (10pm – 6am) from 10pm Sunday 3 September to 6am Wednesday 6 September.
Southbound traffic will be diverted along Eleventh Avenue, Fraser Street and Fifteenth Avenue.
Local residents will still have vehicle access. Pedestrian and cyclist access, and access to businesses in the area will be maintained at all times.
Buses will also take the alternative route and bus stops within the Eleventh Avenue to Thirteenth Avenue closure area will be marked as closed.
This night work is weather dependent and if not completed between Sunday 27 August and Wednesday 6 September, will continue from Sunday 3 September to Wednesday 13 September.
