Cameron Road, near Tenth Avenue, will be reduced to one-way at night from Sunday 30 July for essential stormwater upgrades as part of the Building our future – Cameron Road, Te Papa project.
There will be a full closure of the northbound lanes and the Tenth Avenue (west) intersection, near Jamele and The Warehouse, between 6pm and 6am from Sunday 30 July to Tuesday 1 August. During this time, northbound traffic will be diverted along Eleventh Avenue, St John Street and Tenth Avenue.
As work progresses, the northbound lanes will open and the southbound lanes and the Tenth Avenue (east) intersection, near Mobil, will close. Night works will take place between 6pm and 6am from Tuesday 1 August to Friday 4 August. Southbound traffic will be diverted along Ninth Avenue, Norris Street and Eleventh Avenue.
This section of Cameron Road will be open as usual during the day.
Local residents will still have vehicle access. Pedestrian and cyclist access, and access to businesses in the area will be maintained at all times; please follow the directional signage.
Buses will also follow the detours and bus stops within the Tenth Avenue closure area will be marked as closed.
This work is weather dependent and if not completed between Sunday 30 July and Friday 4 August, work will take place between Sunday 6 August and Friday 11 August, with the same detours in place.
